We love nuts in our family! They are a staple for snacking in our home year-round because they are low carb, vitamin rich, and so satisfying. These are great for holiday treats, charcuterie boards, or football games. They are elegant enough to pair with wine and cheese and a good companion for beer.

I had a similar version of almonds from a gourmet grocery and loved the flavor, but they were extremely oily and way overpriced. We love our pecans in the South so I came up with the above recipe. I love the marcona almonds which are more delicate, but any kind of almond will do. Each nut takes a different amount of time for the perfect toast, which is why you must roast them separately.

They are easy to burn, so keep a close eye on them. You may need to stir them about 2/3 way through. It’s a little fussy but totally worth the effort, especially if you plan to give them as gifts or happies. Feel free to change it up and add your favorite nut!
